Crosstown Mechanical, Inc. was founded more than 30 years ago in 1979 as Crosstown Refrigeration, Inc. Our business started out repairing ultra-low temperature, also known as cascade, refrigeration systems. Back then, our main clients consisted of small grocery stores and restaurants. As time went on, word spread of our good service and low labor rates and we secured contracts with several local nursing homes and other large accounts. In 2001, we decided to change our name to Crosstown Mechanical, Inc. to reflect our knowledge and experience with HVAC systems and mechanical refrigeration systems.
Today Crosstown Mechanical, Inc. has three divisions.
Our Refrigeration Service Division is comprised of a team of experienced professionals that specialize in the repair and replacement of refrigeration systems. In addition, we can design complete spaces with refrigeration needs in mind to create efficient, user-friendly storage and production areas.
Our Heating and Cooling Division repairs and replaces a wide variety of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems for industries including Grocery and Convenience Stores, Food Warehouses, Liquor Stores, Restaurants, Office Buildings, and Strip Malls.
In addition to regular refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, we also provide around the clock, emergency service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And unfortunately, that's usually when emergencies arise. Rest assured, Crosstown Mechanical is always just a phone call away. We are centrally located and will arrive onsite as quickly as possible, sometimes in less than one hour.
Our Scientific Division focuses primarily on scientific refrigeration. We are Minnesota’s approved service partner for ultra-low freezers manufactured by Kendro, Harris, Sigma, Despatch, Thermo Fisher Scientific and more. We also service Nesslab Process Chillers for Hospitals and Clinics, Bio-Medical Companies, Laboratories, R&D Facilities, and Blood Banks.
Within all three divisions, Crosstown Mechanical provides a Design-Build service that is specific to each client and their unique needs. We’ve worked with several companies to first design and then install a refrigeration and/or HVAC system that meets the specific needs of the business. Our professional team is able to design, build and service all types of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and humidification systems.
